On the Hill of Sorrow

On the Hill of Sorrow blooms a single black rose, cursed to live until the last drop of water has turned to stone, doomed with isolation and breathing sighs as dark clouds crawl and thunder roars in the sky. …

There Is Magic in These Muddy Waters

There is a river a block away from where I live. However, the river had long since dried up. Whenever I passed by it, I imagined what this great river looked like in the past. I wondered if I would ever know. Recently, with all the craziness of the world…

A Winter’s Dream

Last night, I had a dream you were angry and you grew ten times your size. You walked through the gray town feeling out of place. Everyone stared but you didn’t care as you stomped through the streets. I followed you to the seaside past a metal fence with vines…

Sundry Sentiments | 3

i glimpsed a shooting star and i thought long and hard about what to wish upon that falling star in the blank of the night. but nothing came to mind as i stood beside you with our hearts beating in time. and one could say that this moment would not exist if the star did not give…

Sundry Sentiments | 1

beauty is in the eye of the beholder but i find beauty in everything silver hues, rainbows refracted all the textures, the feel the rusted hinges in the corner as lovely as red desert sand two-toned twilight the sun playing at the edge of darkness softens the world brings new hope there was light, there was light even in the darkest room there was light in my eye. This is 1/unknown of an experimental series of poetry/prose. The rules are no rules. There is no theme, only that they are all random and spontaneous and miscellaneous and nonsensical and perhaps unfiltered thoughts. These are my sundry sentiments.

Home in the Hollows

autumn leaves fall quietly upon the forest pond. golden mist stretches over ripples of cerulean silk cloth. rain paints the sleeping stones with colors dark and vibrant. home in the hollows — i feel it like the ephemeral poetry written by tendrils of smoke. i am nature. the madness of fire…
